Senior Health and Safety Manager

Position Overview We're seeking an experienced Senior Health and Safety Manager to lead our health and safety program while also playing a key role in shaping how we onboard, train, and develop our workforce. This is a highly field-facing role requiring close collaboration with internal teams and external clients. The ideal candidate is a recognized safety subject matter expert who can balance hands-on operational and safety management with strategic program building. Key Responsibilities Health & Safety Leadership Lead and manage the company's overall health and safety program, ensuring compliance with applicable regulations and industry best practices Assess job site risks across various placement types and work environments, implement effective controls and safety & risk management solutions. Build and maintain strong relationships with internal stakeholders and external clients Partner closely with the Risk Management team to align safety practices with broader companywide safety & risk improvement strategies Respond to field emergencies as needed, including immediate on-site response including regulatory agency matters. Conduct safety audits and support incident management and regulatory compliance efforts Safety Strategy & Development Develop, implement and maintain robust health and safety polices aligned with business needs and companywide strategies. Establish scalable systems and processes, with the opportunity to directly shape program design and structure across the organization. Design and implement a company-wide onboarding and training program for colleagues, extending beyond traditional safety training Identify training needs and development opportunities for office and field based workforce. Build upon internal safety management processes and related training materials and resources, formalizing current processes into a best in class program Qualifications 10+ years of experience in health and safety management, ideally within a field-based, multi-site organization Professional safety certification(s) (e.g., BCSP-related credentials) Strong understanding of safety & risk management principles and practices In-depth regulatory knowledge of federal, state and local health and safety requirements. Proven experience building or improving safety management processes including web-based management systems, training programs and communication channels. Excellent relationship-building and communication skills, with ability to influence at multiple organizational levels Comfortable working in a fast-paced, sometimes reactive environment, with the flexibility to drop planned work for urgent field issues requiring swift decision making. Self-starter who thrives with some ambiguity and enjoys building/improving companywide systems and processes Travel Approximately 25% travel, as needed for field-related matters including regulatory compliance, incident management, and training/auditing. #J-18808-Ljbffr Confidential
