Technical Support Specialist

Onsite Applicants or individuals located in or around Groveport, OH are eligible. This position requires working either 1st or 2nd shift, with flexibility for longer hours based on business and peak needs. The Role Cart.com is looking for a Technical Support Specialist who can solve complex problems and provide Level 2 and 3 technical support across Operations, Technical Services, Application Development, clients, and vendors. The specialist analyzes and troubleshoots complex technical issues related to operations, service management, desktop, and store support with minimal supervision. What You’ll Do Troubleshoot communication issues on computers and tablets Un‑rack or rack network/server equipment in IDFs and MDFs Troubleshoot network issues, including Tracing network cables Running troubleshooting commands from a Windows computer Understanding subnets, VLANs, routing, etc. Distinguishing between 1 g and 10 g fiber modules, single mode vs multimode, and fiber connectors (SC/ST/LC) Familiarity with desktop and mobile platforms (Windows 10/11, macOS, Android, iOS) Familiarity with Zebra handheld and stationary scanners Basic computer knowledge Problem‑solving skills across networking (wired & wireless), printing, scanner, workstation, and application issues Excellent communication skills for technical and non‑technical audiences Ability to create general technical documentation Eagerness to learn and develop skills Follow guidelines set by the cyber‑security department and other internal controls Work collaboratively with fulfillment‑center operations to support tickets for internal operational readiness Oversight of all IT inventory at the facility Monitor facility operational flow to request equipment proactively Escalate critical issues to the Tier 2 Support team when needed Maintain a team‑first attitude and help co‑workers provide excellent customer service Troubleshoot paper and label printers Support the remote network team with hands‑on tasks Roll out new IT equipment (computers, printers, scanners, scales, peripherals) for projects Use ticketing systems, email, and instant messaging to communicate with all internal customers Lift 50 lb safely, repeatedly throughout the day Work all major U.S. holidays, except Christmas and New Year’s Day Who You Are Experience with systems documentation and troubleshooting High‑level support experience Retail experience Excellent verbal and written communication skills Technical analysis and support abilities Demonstrated knowledge of basic hardware/software installation, configuration, and capabilities Results‑oriented track record What You’ve Done 4‑year college degree or recognized technical training certification 5‑8 years of IT experience Physical Work Environment The physical demands described here are representative of those that are required by an associate to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. Regularly required to talk or hear, sit, stand, walk, and use hands to finger or handle Frequent lifting of 15 lb, and occasional lifting of 35 lb; requires good vision and ability to adjust focus Work in an open environment with fluctuating temperatures and standard lighting Use a computer and mobile phone for multiple hours, with frequent interruptions Travel in elevators or stairwells to attend meetings and engage with associates on multiple floors Hotel, airplane, and car travel may be required Employment Information This is a full‑time position. As an international retailer, occasional evening and/or weekend work may be required during high‑volume periods. The role can involve professional office, warehouse, or indoor environments with standard safety equipment.
