Seeking a reliable and safety-focused Sanitation Driver / Pitcher to join a waste collection team. This position works as part of a 2-person crew, alternating between driving and waste collection duties on residential routes. Candidates must be comfortable working outdoors in all weather conditions and performing physically demanding work.
Pay: Up to $24.00 per hourResponsibilities
- Operate garbage trucks on assigned routes.
- Ride on the back of the truck to collect residential waste.
- Load and transport waste safely to disposal sites.
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections.
- Follow OSHA safety standards and PPE requirements.
- Maintain route schedules and provide professional customer interaction.
- Perform light vehicle maintenance and fueling.
- Support emergency response duties as needed.
- Valid CDL and current DOT medical card required.
- 2+ years of commercial driving experience within the last 5 years.
- Waste industry experience preferred but not required.
- Must pass background check and drug screening.
- Steel-toed boots required.
- Ability to lift heavy objects and work in outdoor weather conditions.
- Strong commitment to safety and teamwork.
- Reliable attendance is essential.
