Neuro Oncologist - Assistant Professor

The Department of Neurology at the Medical College of Wisconsin (MCW), seeks a Board Certified / Board Eligible neurologist who has achieved approved completion or will be achieving completion of a Neuro-Oncology Fellowship recognized by AAN/Section of Neuro-Oncology at the Assistant to Full Professor level to augment our clinical, teaching and research programs. Section/Division/Department. This position is located in Milwaukee, WI at Froedtert Hospital. We are comprised of nationally and internationally renowned, dedicated group of faculty and staff with a strong commitment to clinical care.

• Join the largest Multi-disciplinary Neuro-Oncology service in Southeastern Wisconsin
• Expand Neuro-oncology care at Froedtert & MCW Cancer Network.
• Active clinical trials and research unit
• Mentor, teach, and train neurology residents, medical students, and fellows
• Fellowship programs in 9 specialties
• Extensive investments in the Wisconsin Institute for Neurosciences
• Cross-program collaborations in our comprehensive brain tumor program, working with the Neurosurgery, Radiation Oncology, Neuroradiology, and Neuropathology program
• Performs other duties as assigned by Chair or Chair-Designate

Department/Division Highlights:

The Medical College of Wisconsin Department of Neurology is the largest and most comprehensive Neurology group in the state of Wisconsin, with programs in Adult Neurology, Child Neurology, and Neuropsychology with more than 70 faculty. Our adult neurologists, diagnose and treat all neurological conditions including stroke, epilepsy, sleep, neuromuscular diseases, movement disorders including Parkinson disease, dementia, brain tumors, neuro-ophthalmology, and multiple sclerosis, and neuroimmunological disorders.

We work closely with our partners in neurosurgery, physical medicine and rehabilitation, psychiatry, radiation oncology, neuro-imaging, pathology, and ophthalmology across our missions of clinical, teaching and research.


Qualifications

• Medical degree (MD, DO, or equivalent) from an accredited institution.
  
• Board Certified / Board Eligible in neurology or medical oncology
  
• Successful or anticipated successful completion of a Neuro-Oncology Fellowship recognized by AAN/Section of Neuro-Oncology
  
• Successful record of clinical excellence, research, and leadership, with a strong interest in teaching
  
• State medical licensure, or eligibility to obtain license, in the state of Wisconsin.
  
• Rank will be determined by the qualifications and experience of the successful finalist.
