Data Engineer

Job Description: We are looking to add a Data Engineer to join our Information Technology team in West Des Moines, IA. Responsibilities Design, build, and optimize ETL/ELT pipelines from multiple sources using Azure Data Factory, Alteryx, Fabric, dbt, SQL, and other tools. Implement advanced data transformations, aggregations, and custom logic to meet business requirements. Contribute to data modeling efforts and recommend storage solutions to support analytical needs. Monitor pipelines, conduct root‑cause analysis for performance issues, and implement improvements. Mentor junior engineers on best practices in data extraction, transformation, and loading. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in computer science, data science, technology, information systems, or engineering. 3–5 years of professional experience in data, analytics, or platform engineering. Experience building ETL/ELT workflows with dbt, Alteryx, Azure Data Factory, or Microsoft Fabric. Strong ability to work with diverse data sources (structured and unstructured) including delimited files, fixed‑width, databases, and blob storage. Knowledge of APIs or RPA for third‑party data collection; Salesforce experience is a plus. Experience with source control, cloud data storage, and platforms such as Snowflake or Azure.
