Material Handler – Fabrication | Custom Electrical Manufacturing What if the most important person on a production floor wasn't the one building the product, but the one making sure everything needed to build it was already there? That's this role. Our client designs and builds custom-engineered low and medium voltage electrical products and controls that power industries, facilities, and infrastructure across the United States. Nothing here is mass-produced. Every job is make-to-order, and every one of them starts with the right sheet metal, copper, and components being received, organized, and kitted correctly. As the Material Handler, you're the person who makes that happen. When you do it well, the whole floor runs smoother, schedules are met, and people notice.

What You'll Be Doing
- Receive and unload sheet metal and copper from trucks and trailers, verifying every delivery matches its documentation
- Put materials away safely in racking and label and document their movement so nothing gets lost
- Kit and deliver raw materials to the right work centers so production jobs start on time
- Keep inventory accurate through routine counts and data entry, flagging shortages or discrepancies early
- Partner with procurement to keep stock replenished and prevent production delays
- Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment safely, and help keep machines and equipment ready for production
- Remove scrap from production areas and keep a clean, organized workspace
- Complete work orders, test records, and inventory tracking documentation accurately
- Share issues and improvement ideas with the production supervisor and quality control team
- High school diploma or GED
- Experience picking, kitting, or handling materials and components for make-to-order products
- Familiarity with forklifts and powered industrial trucks
- Proficiency with inventory management software and basic computer skills
- Strong attention to detail, manual dexterity, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and handle prolonged standing, bending, and kneeling
- Comfort working in a production environment with potential exposure to electrical hazards, with proper PPE provided
- Technical certification or associate's degree in an electrical or mechanical field is a plus
$23-$26 p/hour Location & Travel
