This Clinical Nurse Coordinator role provides charge nurse leadership with rotating weekends (2 per month, Friday-Sunday) overseeing a team of 73 FTEs. The facility offers comprehensive services including cardiology, oncology, orthopedics/spine, rehabilitation, women's services, Accredited Chest Pain Center with PCI, and Primary Stroke Center designation. Hermitage offers affordable Nashville-area living with access to music city culture, entertainment, dining, and Southern hospitality.ResponsibilitiesDirect and coordinate all emergency department functions during night shift under supervision of unit director.Assess, monitor, record, report, and follow through on symptoms or changes in patient conditions throughout the shift.Collaborate with management team to conduct ongoing assessment of quality patient care services provided in the emergency department.Create and maintain accurate, detailed reports and records ensuring compliance with regulatory standards.Consult and coordinate with healthcare team members to assess, plan, implement, evaluate, and modify care plans based on patient responses.Delegate nursing tasks appropriately and safely while retaining accountability for patient care delivery across 22-bed ED.Provide individualized education for patients, families, and caregivers throughout the continuum of emergency care.Adhere to standards of safety and infection control in delivery of patient care across high-volume emergency setting.Manage patient flow and throughput during night operations with volumes up to 166 patients daily.Serve as clinical resource and mentor for emergency nursing staff during night shift operations.Respond to trauma activations and coordinate Level III Trauma Center care during overnight hours.Support stroke and chest pain protocols ensuring timely interventions and optimal patient outcomes.Communicate effectively with incoming and outgoing shifts using appropriate hand-off protocols.QualificationsRequired:Current Tennessee RN license in good standing or active multi-state compact licenseAssociate's Degree in Nursing (ADN)Minimum 3 years of Registered Nurse experience (will consider Psych and ICU experience)Minimum 1 year of Emergency Room nursing experienceBLS (Basic Life Support) certification - American Heart Association - currentACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) required within 1 year of employmentPALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support) required within 1 year of employmentCPI (Crisis Prevention Intervention) required within 6 months of employmentAbility to work night shift (7PM-7AM) with rotating weekends (2 per month, Friday-Sunday)Preferred:Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)Trauma nursing experience in Level III or higher trauma centersPrior charge nurse or leadership experience in emergency settingsTNCC (Trauma Nursing Core Course) certificationCompensation & BenefitsHourly Pay: $38.00-$56.95 based on years of experienceShift Differentials: Night $3.50/hour | Weekend $6.00/hourSign-On Bonus: $20,000Relocation Assistance: $5,000 (must be over 50 miles from facility)Comprehensive health, dental, and vision insurance401(k) with employer matchPaid time off and holiday payTuition reimbursement and continuing education supportFast-track leadership development and promotion opportunitiesProfessional development programs across regional networkEmployee wellness programs and recognition initiativesIdeal For Experienced emergency nurses ready to step into or advance their charge nurse career at a Level III Trauma Center.
