Workday Technical Developer

Role Description

We are looking for a Workday Integration Engineer to design, develop, and maintain integrations between Workday and the broader enterprise application landscape. The role focuses on hands-on integration delivery using EIB, Studio, Core Connectors, Cloud Connect, and Workday APIs, with strong attention to reliability, security, and data quality.

• The ideal candidate has shipped meaningful Workday integrations in production.
• Navigates Workday’s tenant model and security framework with confidence.
• Writes well-structured Studio integrations that are easy to maintain.
• Works closely with cross-functional partners — product, design, engineering, operations, and business stakeholders — to translate ambiguous requirements into well-engineered solutions.
• Expected to raise the bar through code review, design review, and mentorship of more junior engineers.
• Brings strong engineering discipline, a clear communication style, and a track record of shipping meaningful work that holds up well in production.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
• Five or more years of Workday integration development experience.
• Deep expertise in EIB, Workday Studio, and Core Connectors.
• Strong XSLT skills and experience with Workday Studio orchestrations.
• Hands-on experience with Workday REST/SOAP APIs.
• Strong understanding of the Workday data model and tenant configuration.
• Experience with Workday security model including ISU/ISSG patterns.
• Familiarity with calculated fields and custom report design.
• Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.

Requirements

• Workday Pro Integrations certification (preferred).
• Experience with PICOF, PECI, or Cloud Connect for Payroll (preferred).
• Familiarity with Workday Extend (preferred).
• Exposure to multi-tenant or multi-region Workday deployments (preferred).
• Experience integrating Workday with major SaaS platforms (ServiceNow, Salesforce) (preferred).
