Trust Doctor Clinical Fellow CT1 - Anaesthetics | Dorset County Hospital NHS Foundation Trust Company: Company: Dorset County Hospital NHS Foundation Trust We are seeking to recruit a part time 80% - Clinical Fellow Trust Doctor CT1 within Anaesthetics & ICM for a 12 month contract. This post is designed to support the Department and Trust and progress our programmes. This post will be ideal for trainees who are completing Core Training and looking for additional experience in obstetrics and ICU. You will be allocated an educational supervisor and we will ensure that you are supported in developing the clinical and non-clinical aspects of your CV. The Department of Anaesthesia and Critical Care at DCH has a longstanding reputation as a supportive environment for training in anaesthesia and ICM. 2 years postgraduate experience in anaesthesia is required for this post. An anaesthetist competent in obstetrics anaesthetics (i.e. achieved initial assessment of obstetric competency, IAOC) would be desirable but not necessary. Dorchester is a popular market town in an area of outstanding beauty close to the world heritage Purbeck coastline, served by frequent direct rail services to London and Bristol, with four regional airports within 90 minutes by road. There are excellent recreational amenities and good educational facilities are available in both the public and private sectors. The popular seaside holiday resort of Weymouth with its golden beaches and picturesque harbour is only 8 miles away. a Full registration with the GMC is essential. The successful applicant will join the dynamic, progressive, forward thinking Anaesthetic Department. You would an enthusiastic team providing anaesthetic services for all surgical specialities excluding cardiac and neurosurgery. The successful applicant will be expected to fully participate in the general running of the anaesthetic services including a sessional commitment to Intensive Care. The department is dedicated to supporting the development of their doctors and therefore study time and funding is available to successful applicant.
