Regional Medical Scientific Director (RMSD) - Gynecologic Malignancies - IN, KY, WV, VA

Merck

Merck seeks a credentialed medical scientific director to serve as a gynecologic oncology expert for a four-state region. The role involves bidirectional scientific exchange with clinical leaders, support for sponsored and investigator-initiated research, and representation at medical congresses.

Responsibilities

Develop professional relationships and conduct peer-to-peer scientific discussions with regional clinical leaders
Address scientific inquiries and direct complex questions to appropriate company resources
Evaluate investigator-sponsored research for alignment with company strategy and scientific merit
Recommend study sites and investigators for clinical development programs; conduct site initiation visits
Engage at scientific congresses and medical meetings to facilitate scientific data exchange

Requirements

PhD, PharmD, DNP, DO, or MD degree
Minimum 3 years relevant therapeutic area experience beyond terminal degree
Ability to conduct doctoral-level scientific discussions with external stakeholders
Thorough knowledge of FDA, OIG, HIPAA, and pharmaceutical industry regulations
Excellent stakeholder management, communication, and networking skills
Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and virtual meeting platforms
GYN oncology field-based medical experience strongly preferred
