Job Title: PACU RN - Inpatient Profession: Registered Nurse Specialty: PACU Duration: 18 weeks Shift: Day 4x12-Hour Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: 2 years minimum required License: Must hold appropriate nursing license Certifications: BCLS, ACLS, PALS required Must-Have: - Level 1 trauma experience - Telemetry experience - Ability to work two out of three holiday bundles: Thanksgiving & the day after, Christmas Eve & Christmas Day, New Year’s Eve & New Year’s Day Description: The position involves working in a busy PACU environment. Staffing ratios for this role are typically 1:2. The nurse is expected to care for patients pre and post Cath lab and interventional radiology procedures. All clinicians should anticipate potential overnight on-call shifts, averaging 1-2 per month. Weekly scheduled hours are 36, with the possibility of a facility call-off three times during the 13-week assignment. ACLS, BCLS, and PALS certifications must be up to date. On call responsibilities and floating to the PACU holding area will be part of the duties. Float nurse ratios may vary, with a range of 1:3 to 1:5 for patient care. The work environment requires familiarity with a variety of patient diagnoses and procedures, including surgical recovery and trauma care. The position invites consideration for those with limited pediatric experience, though Phase II recovery experience is highly recommended. All candidates must comply with any facility-specific requirements regarding vaccinations and other health codes. This role does not accept local candidates within a 100-mile radius. Drug screening and compliance checks will be mandatory before the start of the assignment.
