Restaurant Shift Manager

GUTHRIE’S CHICKEN Job Description – Shift Manager Supervision Received and Exercised Reports directly to the General Manager. Exercises direct supervision of 15-50 employees. Essential Job Functions Essential duties may include, but are not limited to, the following: Exhibit, cultivate, and enforce a sense of pride and relentless commitment to each step of preparing Guthrie’s menu items for service. Foster a culture of hospitality and quality to attract and retain the best talent. Be an ambassador for the brand, building strategic relationships within the community to build a conspicuous reputation of quality and hospitality throughout our communities. Support the General Manager in all efforts related to shift performance, including labor deployment and inventory management. Review performance daily, taking time to calibrate each day and correspondingly coach and celebrate with your team. Provide leadership by generating excitement, enthusiasm, and commitment toward company objectives. Maintain an attitude of flexibility that allows performance above and beyond the parameters of this position description. Compensation Classification Hourly, Non-Exempt Non-Essential Job Functions Maintain physical condition appropriate to the performance of assigned duties and responsibilities, which may include the following: Walking, standing, or sitting for extended periods of time. Lifting a minimum of 50 lbs. overhead. Maintain effective audio-visual discrimination and perception needed for: Making observations. Communicating with others. Reading and writing. Position Requirements Work a 35-45 hour week. In-store training program completed. Must maintain a flexible schedule to include nights, weekends, and holidays. Must possess a state-issued driver’s license and maintain reliable means of transportation. Working Conditions Restaurant environment: Work with advanced kitchen and front-of-house operational equipment, including maintenance and operations of deep fryers. Office environment: Work with computers and office equipment. Essential job functions may require maintaining physical condition necessary for standing, walking, or sitting for prolonged periods of time.
