Private Duty Nurse (RN/LPN) – 24/7 Care – Kalamazoo, MI
Location: Kalamazoo, MI
Start Date: ASAP
Shifts: Full-time, Part-time, and PRN shifts available (24/7 coverage needed)

We are seeking compassionate and skilled Registered Nurses (RNs) and Licensed Practical Nurses (LPNs) to provide private duty nursing for a kind and soft-spoken woman transitioning home from Mary Freebed to her residence in Kalamazoo. She requires 24/7 skilled nursing care along with 24/7 attendant care , with an aide on shift alongside the nurse for additional support.

Responsibilities:

• Provide skilled nursing care in a home setting
• Monitor and manage medical needs, medications, and therapies
• Work collaboratively with a dedicated aide on shift
• Ensure comfort, dignity, and safety in her home environment
• Communicate with family and medical professionals as needed

Qualifications:

• Active RN or LPN license in Michigan
• Experience in home health, private duty nursing, or rehabilitation care preferred
• Strong clinical skills , including medication management, wound care, and mobility assistance
• Ability to provide compassionate, patient-centered care
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills

Responsibilities

• Perform duties outlined in patient's plan of care
• TBI + SCI rehabilitation
• Adult care
• Ventilator and Tracheotomy care (Training Provided)
• Gastrostomy tube care (Training Provided)
• Dispensing medications
• Observe client’s physical, mental and emotional conditions.
• Report any changes
• Document observed changes
• Communicates effectively with Clinical team to increase optimal outcomes
• Maintains professional nature within the home setting

Required Qualifications, Skills, and Knowledge

• Excellent oral and written communication skills
• Ability to follow verbal and written instructions
• Ability to utilize computers/tablets and computer software
• Current state license as an RN or LPN
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
• Current negative TB skin test or negative chest X-ray
• CPR certified
