API 653 Certified Tank Inspector – ROSEN USA (Houston, TX) ROSEN USA seeks a career‑minded, highly professional API 653 Certified Tank Inspector to conduct inspections throughout Northern, Central America and the Caribbean. The role requires providing exceptional customer service, inspecting above‑ground storage tanks, and preparing and submitting inspection reports in accordance with API 653 standards. Responsibilities Perform API 653 inspections per customer’s scope of work and ROSEN’s internal processes and procedures. Prepare and finalize inspection reports. Assist customers and field personnel with preparation, set‑up and maintenance of paperwork for each project. Progress rapidly toward higher levels requiring greater knowledge of the basic tool functions. Perform inspection work at refineries or tank farms; work is 70% inside aboveground storage tanks. Measure wall thickness of tank structure and components. Physical Demands Frequently lift and/or move greater than 50 pounds and/or lift greater than 180 lbs. with help of one person. Work on hands and knees and crawl into tight spaces. Work in environments with extreme heat or cold temperatures. Work in limited lighting. Potential to work at elevated heights. Qualifications and Skills Must hold an API 653 Certification. Extended periods of travel (60–70%). Maintain a valid U.S. passport. 2‑year degree in mechanical or electronic discipline or equivalent work experience. Maintain a clean driving record. Valid TWIC card (a plus). Computer literacy – existing knowledge of MS Word & Excel. Excellent organizational skills. Prior NDT experience. Bilingual English/Spanish (a plus). API 653, 570 or 510 Certification. Successfully complete a drug screen test, background check and physical performance evaluation, including vision exam as applicable to the position.
