A dedicated and compassionate Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) is needed on a contract basis for the current academic year. This full-time position offers the rewarding opportunity to provide one-on-one care in a school setting near Houston, TX.

Key Qualifications & Licensure:

• Active and unrestricted LVN license issued by the Texas Board of Nursing
• Experience or interest in school nursing, especially with adolescent populations
• Skilled with tracheostomy care and monitoring
• Strong communication and collaboration skills to work with students, families, and school staff
• Ability to complete all district-required credentialing, including fingerprinting and a drug screening

Primary Responsibilities:

• Meet the assigned student at the bus at 6:45 am, accompanying them to and from school and throughout the school day
• Provide vigilant, continuous care for a stable student with a trach, ensuring their comfort and safety at all times
• Remain with the student during classes and activities, providing trach monitoring and any required interventions
• Maintain clear documentation of care provided and communicate effectively with school staff and guardians
• Enjoy a 30-minute lunch break built into your day for work-life balance
