Radiology - Echo / Cardiac Sonographer

Cardiac Sonographer Position

This is a 12-week contract position.

The working hours for this position are Monday to Friday, from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, with on-call requirements.

The Cardiac Sonographer will perform echocardiograms, including pediatric and fetal echocardiography, to assist in the diagnosis and treatment of patients. The role involves interacting with patients and their families, providing professional assessments, and ensuring high-quality imaging results.

Responsibilities:

• Conduct cardiac ultrasound examinations and provide images for interpretation.
• Ensure proper patient care and prepare patients for procedures.
• Collaborate with medical staff to determine appropriate examinations and assessments.
• Maintain accurate records and update patient charts in the electronic medical record system (Epic).
• Participate in on-call duties as required.
• May need to float to various facilities as assigned.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure:

• Pediatric echocardiography registration through ARDMS or RCCS is mandatory.
• Preferred certification in fetal echocardiography through ARDMS.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in pediatric cardiac ultrasound.
• Experience with the Epic charting system is preferred but not required.
