Accounting Manager

Key Responsibilities: Support day-to-day operational accounting activities and month-end close processes Assist with the preparation and review of financial statements and supporting schedules Manage SEC reporting requirements, including Forms 10-K, 10-Q, and 8-K disclosures Ensure compliance with U.S. GAAP, SEC regulations, and internal policies Collaborate with finance and accounting teams to resolve reporting issues Support external audits and coordinate with auditors Conduct technical accounting research and documentation Identify opportunities for process improvements and reporting efficiencies Contribute to special projects and finance initiatives Top 5 Required Skills: Strong operational accounting expertise at the Manager level Hands-on SEC reporting experience for a public company In-depth knowledge of U.S. GAAP and financial reporting standards Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills Effective communication and collaboration abilities Top 5 Nice to Have Skills: CPA certification Experience in technology, engineering, or manufacturing industries Background working in publicly traded companies Proficiency with ERP systems and financial reporting tools Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment Preferred Education and Experience: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field Significant experience supporting month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes Prior experience with SEC filings and technical accounting research Additional requirements include availability to work onsite in Houston and periodic travel to Florida.
