Patient Registration Representative

Tittle - Bilingual Patient Registrar

Location: Brooklyn, NY 11215

Pay: $20 to $23/hr on W2

Shift: 9 to 5 pm, Monday to Friday

Contract: 13 weeks with possible extensions

Required Qualifications

Patient Registrar (Mandarin/Cantonese/Spanish Preferred)

  • High School Diploma/GED
  • 1+ year of clerical experience
  • Customer service experience
  • Strong data entry/keyboard skills – 4,500 KPH
  • Strong telephone and computer skills
  • Knowledge of health insurance benefits and eligibility
  • Knowledge of ICD-9 and CPT-4 coding
  • Excellent communication and attention to detail

Key Responsibilities

  • Register and greet patients professionally.
  • Enter and verify patient demographic and insurance information.
  • Verify insurance eligibility and benefits.
  • Schedule appointments and medical procedures.
  • Process authorizations and physician requisitions.
  • Collect co-pays and maintain accurate financial records.
  • Coordinate medical records and required documentation.
