Job Title: Senior Recruiter III
Location: Onsite- Alameda California 94502 (some flexibility after first 3 weeks)
Duration: 12 Months on w2
Shift: 8am-5pm (flexible)
Pay Rate: $71/hr.

Summary/job purpose:

Full cycle clinical development recruiter focused on requisitions within Clinical Operations, Clinical Data Management, Biostatistics and Programming, Quality Assurance and Development Outsourcing. Works with hiring manager to document requirements of job openings as required. Determines appropriate recruiting sources for advertising and posting positions. Promotes the company image to candidates and external service providers. Surfaces candidates and develops networks of people and processes to support a strong pipeline of qualified candidates. Supports Talent Acquisition team to administer staffing/employment/ recruiting programs. 

Essential duties and responsibilities:

• Pre-screens resumes and evaluates effectiveness of electronic candidate evaluation tools.
• Documents candidate evaluation and interview process. Negotiates and/or supports hiring manager in developing new hire compensation package/offers
• Conduct employment background checks.
• Works with agencies, recruiting contractors and/or internet website representatives in the course of conducting employment advertising campaigns.
• Provide performance feedback on all recruiting agencies/sources. 
• Develop, support and maintain, affirmative action and career development programs. 

Education: 

• Bachelor's degree in any field is required. Degrees in a scientific discipline such as Biology, Chemistry, Life Sciences, or a related field are preferred but not required. Candidates must also have a minimum of 5 years of recruiting experience within the biotechnology and/or pharmaceutical industry with experience supporting scientific, clinical development, or drug development functions strongly preferred.

• Frequently applies technical standards, principles, theories, concepts and techniques. 
• Resolves a wide range of issues in creative ways. 
• Seasoned, experienced professional with a full understanding of area of specialization. 
• Applies strong analytical and business communication skills. 

Job complexity: 

• Works on problems of diverse scope where analysis of data requires evaluation of identifiable factors. 
• Demonstrates good judgment in selecting methods and techniques for obtaining solutions. 
• Networks with senior internal and external personnel in area of expertise. 
• Works on complex issues where analysis of situations or data requires an in-depth evaluation of variable factors. 
• Exercises judgment in selecting methods, techniques and evaluation criteria for obtaining results. Internal and external contacts often pertain to company plans and objectives.

Strong Plus:

• Experience working closely with scientific leaders and hiring teams in oncology programs is a significant advantage.
• The hiring manager strongly prefers candidates with in-house recruiting experience and a proven ability to act as a strategic business partner. Recruiters whose experience is primarily agency-based may not be successful in this role unless they have demonstrated experience driving hiring strategy, influencing stakeholders, and partnering closely with hiring managers in a consultative capacity.

Top Skills: 

• Biotech / Pharma Recruiting Experience: Minimum 5+ years recruiting within Biotechnology and/or Pharmaceutical. Strong preference for recruiters who have spent most of their career supporting life sciences functions. 
• Experience supporting oncology-focused organizations is highly preferred. Candidates should have recruited for functions such as Clinical Operations, Clinical Development, Regulatory Affairs, CMC, Clinical Research
• Candidates should demonstrate a track record of successfully managing multiple complex requisitions and filling mid-level to senior-level positions, including Manager, Senior Manager, Associate Director, and Director roles. They should be able to speak to the volume, complexity, and business functions they have supported throughout their recruiting career
• The ideal candidate is a strategic Talent Acquisition partner who takes initiative, drives the recruiting process, and works collaboratively with hiring managers and internal teams. They must possess strong communication skills, provide market insights and hiring recommendations, and be comfortable professionally pushing back or influencing stakeholders when needed rather than simply taking orders
