Master Data Specialist

Our client, based in Vernon Hills, IL, is looking to hire a Master Data Specialist Consultant. My client is looking for a Master Data Management consultant from the business side (NOT IT). The role requires handling business maintenance for master data, collaborating with the business to provide data details necessary for creation and maintenance, assisting in day‑to‑day activities, and operating on the business‑facing side. Responsibilities Support day-to-day master data management activities across the global organization via the maintenance of master data in ERP system(s) for core objects such as customers, suppliers, and financial reporting objects. Perform mass data changes within the ERP system using available tools. Provide basic master data backup support for other company locations. Be responsible for Master Data Management for suppliers, customers, and financial reporting objects. Advise and collaborate with Corporate Master Data/Change Control leadership to introduce standardization and identify improvements. Participate in validations and testing as needed for projects. Perform other duties and tasks as assigned. Fixed‑term contract of up to one year. Requirements 1–3 years of work experience in Master Data Management and/or ERP production planning. Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Logistics, Mathematics, Industrial Technology, or a related field (required). Knowledge of master data for customers and/or suppliers in an ERP environment (SAP preferred). Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, and expert‑level Excel skills).
