Interim Senior Accountant

Our client, a high-growth technology company, is seeking an Interim Senior Accountant to support its accounting organization during a period of growth and operational evolution. 

This role is 100% remote and has a duration of 3-4 months. 

Responsibilities:

• Support monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes across multiple domestic and international entities.
• Prepare and review account reconciliations, accruals, journal entries, and variance analyses to ensure accurate financial reporting.
• Manage accounting activities related to technical accounting areas, including equity compensation, software capitalization, and intercompany transactions.
• Assist with consolidations, foreign currency accounting, and multi-entity financial reporting.
• Support audit readiness efforts by preparing schedules, workpapers, and documentation for external auditors.
• Partner with cross-functional teams to improve accounting processes, strengthen controls, and enhance reporting efficiency.
• Investigate historical accounting issues, perform account clean-up activities, and implement sustainable solutions.
• Support accounts payable, expense management, and other operational accounting activities as needed.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA preferred.
• 4 years of progressive accounting experience, preferably within a high-growth technology or software environment.
• Strong experience with month-end close, account reconciliations, accruals, and financial reporting.
• Experience supporting multi-entity and international accounting operations, including consolidations and intercompany accounting.
• Hands-on experience with ERP systems, preferably NetSuite, and advanced Excel skills.
