Registered Respiratory Therapist

POSITION SUMMARY: Management of respiratory patients of all ages. Ventilator care, arterial blood gas punctures, intubation, medication treatments, routine cleaning, and stocking equipment. REQUIRED EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS: A.A.S. degree in Respiratory Therapy. Registered Respiratory Therapist by the National Board for Respiratory Care. A minimum of three years of respiratory care experience as a Respiratory Therapist. Current BLS provider certification from the American Heart Association. Current PALS provider certification from the American Heart Association within one year of hire. Current NRP provider certification from the American Academy of Pediatrics and the American Heart Association within 1 (one) year of hire. Ability to work unsupervised. PREFERRED EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS: Bachelor of Science Degree. Five years of respiratory care experience as a Respiratory Therapist. As part of employment at Southampton Hospital, there may be occasions when travel to other locations is needed to support operational needs. All Hospital positions may be subject to changes in pass days and shifts as necessary. This position may require the wearing of respiratory protection, which may prohibit the wearing of facial hair. Anticipated Pay Range: The starting salary range (or hiring range) for this position has been established based on relevant experience.
