We are rapidly expanding across Nassau and Suffolk Counties and are seeking a motivated and detail‑oriented Surgical Physician Assistant to join our growing team. Position Overview We are seeking a motivated and compassionate Surgical Physician Assistant (PA-C) to join our dynamic clinical and surgical team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in orthopedics, neurosurgery, or a related specialty, and a passion for delivering high‑quality patient care. This role offers the opportunity to work closely with our physicians in both clinical and surgical settings, including serving as a first assist in spinal procedures. Key Responsibilities Complete initial patient histories and perform comprehensive physical examinations Serve as first assist in spinal surgeries, including cervical and lumbar fusions Develop, document, and communicate patient care plans; ensure follow‑through on all aspects of care Perform inpatient rounds and evaluate inpatient and ER consults Order and interpret diagnostic tests, laboratory work, and spinal imaging Perform in‑office procedures such as trigger‑point and joint injections Collaborate closely with attending physicians to ensure optimal patient outcomes Maintain accurate and timely documentation in the EMR Qualifications NCCPA Board Certification (PA‑C) required Active New York State Physician Assistant license Minimum of 1 year of experience as a Surgical Physician Assistant (spine, orthopedic, or neurosurgery preferred) Strong clinical assessment and diagnostic skills Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Ability to thrive in a fast‑paced, collaborative environment Willingness to travel between Ronkonkoma, Garden City, Huntington, & Jamaica Estates locations Benefits Competitive salary commensurate with experience Comprehensive benefits package (medical, dental, and vision) 401(k) retirement plan with employer contribution Paid time off CME allowance and reimbursement for licensure fees Professional development support Medical Specialty Medical‑Surgical | Orthopedics | Spine Surgery #J-18808-Ljbffr Spine Medicine and Surgery of Long Island
