B.A.T. Consulting and CPA’s is seeking a full-time Accounting and Tax Specialist to join our team in Eastern, PA. We are committed to delivering accurate, client-focused services and are looking for a professional who thrives in a collaborative, fast-paced environment. This role is ideal for someone with a strong foundation in accounting and tax, who is eager to grow and contribute to our clients' success.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field preferred
- CPA or EA license is preferred but not necessary
- 3 to 7 years of experience in:
- Preparation of individual and business tax returns
- Year-end accounting and workpaper preparation
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook)
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
- Detail-oriented, self-motivated, and organized
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively
- Willingness to work extended hours during tax season
Responsibilities
- Prepare federal and state individual and business tax returns
- Perform year-end accounting and financial closings
- Communicate with clients to gather necessary information
- Coordinate with tax managers to ensure timely delivery of services
- Assist with tax planning and research
- Respond to federal and state tax notices
- Review and adjust client financial records as needed
