Inpatient Brain Injury Physician Assistant Hackensack Meridian Health is hiring a Board Certified or Board Eligible Physician Assistant to work in the Brain Injury unit at the JFK Johnson Rehabilitation Institute in Edison, New Jersey. Key Responsibilities Patient Assessment & Diagnosis: Conduct and document comprehensive patient histories and physical examinations. Order, perform, and interpret laboratory results and diagnostic studies to formulate accurate diagnoses. Clinical Management & Treatment: Develop and manage treatment plans for a variety of medical and surgical conditions. Prescribe medications and therapeutic interventions under the supervision of an Attending, adhering to all New Jersey state regulations. Collaboration & Advocacy: Collaborate seamlessly with a multidisciplinary team of physicians, specialists, and support staff to ensure coordinated, high‑quality care. Serve as a dedicated clinical resource and passionate advocate for patients and their families. Patient & Family Education: Provide compassionate, culturally sensitive, and effective health education to empower patients and their families throughout the care journey. Requirements Certification: Must hold an active Physician Assistant‑Certified (PA‑C) credential. Education: Master’s degree from an ARC‑PA accredited Physician Assistant program. Licensure: Must possess an active and unrestricted New Jersey state license as a Physician Assistant. Experience: Open to both experienced practitioners and new graduates. Compensation Minimum Starting Base Salary: $148,803.20 Annually. This rate reflects the minimum base pay at the time of posting in accordance with the New Jersey Pay Transparency Act. Compensation may vary based on specialization, labor market data, experience, leadership, education, productivity, skills, geographic location, internal equity, and budgetary factors.
