Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education, active Special Education Teacher license and minimum 1+ years Special Education Teacher experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

This contract role is located in the North West region of Jacksonville, FL and begins on August 10, 2026, continuing through May 28, 2027. Work at a single school site, primarily with elementary-age students with diverse learning levels and exceptionalities, while collaborating with a dedicated community of educators.

Key Qualifications:

• Active Florida ESE certification
• K-6 or PK-3 General Education certification required
• Demonstrated prior experience in self-contained classroom environments
• Previous special education teaching experience in a school setting
• Ability to complete fingerprinting process, including AHCA Clearinghouse verification if applicable
• Willingness to participate in a virtual prescreen interview as part of the eligibility process

Role Responsibilities:

• Lead a self-contained ESE classroom, thoughtfully addressing varying student needs
• Develop, implement, and adapt Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
• Foster an engaging, inclusive classroom environment that supports academic and social development
• Collaborate with general education teachers, related service providers, and families to ensure student success
• Maintain up-to-date documentation and communication, ensuring compliance with district and state requirements

On-site presence is required for this position; remote work is not available. The position offers a stable, full-time schedule of 35 hours per week (7 hours daily), at one consistent school location (assignment details to be confirmed).
