Cardiac Sonographer II – Pediatric Echocardiography
Location: Boston, MA
Worksite: 300 Longwood Ave
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8-hour shifts + on-call as discussed during interview
Salary: $44.97–$71.95/hour
Higher compensation may be considered based on substantial experience.
Role Summary:
Seeking an experienced Cardiac Sonographer II to perform cardiac ultrasound examinations ranging from normal cardiac anatomy to complex congenital heart disease. The role includes diagnostic, pre-operative, intraoperative/anesthesia, and post-operative examinations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform comprehensive pediatric echocardiography independently.
- Conduct exams in the lab and with portable equipment when needed.
- Support patients and families by explaining procedures and addressing scheduling changes.
- Maintain equipment, supplies, logs, and records.
- Provide guidance and training to sonographers, trainees, and fellows.
- Support clinical research studies and data collection.
Requirements:
- Completion of an accredited Cardiac Ultrasound program in pediatric echocardiography .
- 2+ years of clinical experience in pediatric echocardiography required; 5 years preferred.
- RDCS – Pediatric Echocardiography (PE) certification.
- BLS (AHA) required.
- High school diploma/equivalent required; Bachelor's degree preferred.
