Electronics Assembler

We are seeking an Electronics Assembler for a very important client


Basic Skills:
• Understands and follows proper ESD procedures each day
• Wears steel toe shoes, safety glasses, and ESD equipment at all times while working
• Understands Client part numbering system
• Understands and can interpret Client router and bill of materials
• Able to inspect and put away incoming inventory
• Able to participate in inventory cycle counting
• Understands tool locations puts tools away each day
• Practices 5S each day
• Cleans off bench and sweeps work area each day
• Can hand solder skillfully and inspect their work

Assembly Skills:
• Positions product cart and distributes point of use inventory bins to their specified locations
• Prepares bench positions for assembly, including tools, instructions, test fixtures, poka-yoke fixtures
• Performs secondary operations such as PDB hand stuffing and hand soldering
• Ensures correct parts are being used and assemblies are built to print specifications
• Maintains expected productivity output levels and completes assignments as scheduled
• Ensures product quality meets standards by inspecting each piece
• Inspects and verifies work has been completed correctly
• Troubleshoots any problems to the component level and makes any necessary repairs
• Sets up and operates programming equipment
• Sets up and operates HiPot tester
• Sets up poka-yoke station
• Performs final assembly, labelling, inspection, and packing
• LED tape cutting and soldering skills
• Works safely at all times

Requirement:

Machinery skills:
• Depanelizer
• Test fixtures
• Wave solder
• Programming station
• Carpenter wire cutter and stripper
• LED tape and dimmer testing

Additional Responsibilities:
• Other duties as assigned
• Completes special projects and requests in a timely and positive fashion

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
• Knowledge of electronics
• Good mechanical aptitude
• Able to use hand tools and small power tools
• Able to interpret and follow assembly drawings, wiring diagrams and schematics
• Ability to use measuring devices
• Soldering skills
• Wiring skills
• Able to work independently and as part of a team
• Flexible and able to adapt to change
• Able to lift up to 50 pounds
• Problem solving and creative thinking skills
• Good manual dexterity
• Punctual and willing to work overtime as required.

Education and Experience:
• High School Diploma or its equivalent and 4 years of electronic assembly, including soldering experience, or
• Associates Degree in Electronics or similarly related field and 1-2 years of experience
