Athletic Trainer

Job Title Athletic Trainer/DME Field Service Rep (Brooklyn, NY) Reports To Director, Field Service Location Brooklyn, NY Business Unit Field Services - Bracing & Supports Role Summary We are seeking a dedicated and talented individual with a passion for patient care in an orthopedic setting and a background in Durable Medical Equipment to join us as a Field Service Representative. In this fast‑moving, patient‑focused setting you will educate patients and healthcare practitioners about the use and benefits of orthopedic soft goods, functional bracing, bone growth stimulation, and other Enovis products. Key Responsibilities Properly measure and apply orthopedic products, providing education on appropriate use/care and accurate information to patients and HCPs. Coordinate patient care for follow‑up brace fitting appointments. Provide routine customer service to patients, physicians, physician assistants, and other clinical staff. Verify patient benefits using automation tools, including pre‑authorization and upfront collection of patient responsibility. Serve as a liaison between customers, Enovis, and the Sales Team. Achieve metrics and KPIs set by management to ensure customer performance and efficiency. Adhere to all Enovis Compliance and Ethics Programs, OIG, government healthcare regulations, regulatory policies, and HIPAA. Minimum Basic Qualifications A passion for providing excellent care to HCPs and patients. Minimum 1 year experience in a hospital, healthcare facility, clinic, physician's office, or as an independent contractor in patient care; related experience acceptable. Demonstrated patient care experience. Experience with multiple physicians in a high‑volume clinic (plus). Bachelor's degree in a related field preferred. Must satisfy third‑party credentialing/screening requirements to gain access to hospital accounts. Valid driver's license and current auto insurance. Desired Qualifications Board of Certification in Athletic Training (BOC) strongly preferred. American Board for Certification (ABC) Certified Fitter‑orthotics (CFo), Orthotic Fitter, Physical Therapy Certification, National Board for Certification of Orthopedic Technologists (NBCOT), or other relevant certifications. Experience with insurance reimbursement/DME billing requirements. Work Environment | Physical Demands Provides patient care in physician offices, hospitals, patient homes, and clinics. Potential exposure to airborne and bloodborne pathogens. May lift or move up to 20 lbs. Requires up to 20% travel; overnight travel not required; use own transportation.
