Gymnastics Coach
Under the direction of the Gymnastics Head Coach the Gymnastics Coach is responsible for instructing participants, overseeing safety and understanding the importance of progression, safety and the individual needs to each participant.
Essential functions include coaching and instructing students, observing students during practice and competition, establishing professionalism while supervising students and coaches, participating in daily warm-ups, teaching skills in progression, enforcing safety procedures, practicing time management skills, communicating professionally with participants and their parents, working cooperatively with other staff, building positive relationships with members, participants, volunteers, other staff, and communities served, and adhering to the Code of Conduct and policies within the Child Abuse Prevention handbook.
Competencies include mission advancement, collaboration, operational effectiveness, and personal growth.
Qualifications include being at least 18 years of age, having practical understanding and comprehensive knowledge of gymnastics competitions, teaching techniques, and evaluation participant performance, being able to instruct, coach and spot gymnasts, including upper-level gymnasts, and being available to work evenings and weekends.
Certifications include Bloodborne Pathogens/Child Abuse Prevention every year.
Physical demands include being able to lift 50lbs and stand for long amounts of time.
