Registered Nurse - Cardiac Cath Lab/EP

Job Description

Job Summary:

The Cardiac Cath Lab RN will provide specialized nursing care for patients undergoing cardiac and peripheral vascular procedures. They will support diagnostic and interventional procedures, ensuring patient safety and optimal outcomes.

Responsibilities:

• Monitor and assess patients during cardiac and peripheral procedures using advanced devices such as Philips Laser System, IVUS, OCT, and atherectomy tools.
• Assist with pre-procedure preparations and post-procedure recovery to ensure comprehensive patient care.
• Handle transportation of patients and support staff during procedures, adhering to safety protocols.
• Collaborate with cardiologists, radiologists, and surgeons to facilitate smooth workflow and high-quality care.
• Rotate call shifts including evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays to provide 24/7 coverage.
• Maintain current proficiency in stress testing and use of imaging systems, ensuring compliance with protocols.

Qualifications:

• At least 2 years of recent Cath Lab RN experience, required.
• Recent traveler experience in a Cath Lab setting preferred.
• Valid Oklahoma State License or Compact License required.
• BLS (AHA) and ACLS (AHA) certifications required.
• Proficiency in monitoring and operating advanced cardiac imaging systems and atherectomy devices.
• Strong assessment and patient care skills with the ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
