Role Overview
A regional liquid tanker fleet based out of Houston TX is hiring experienced CDL-A drivers for general chemical and liquid bulk freight operations throughout the Midwest South and Canada. This position offers strong weekly mileage premium hazmat pay opportunities dedicated customer freight and modern equipment for experienced tanker drivers.
Key Responsibilities
- Safely operate a CDL-A tractor-trailer hauling liquid bulk and chemical freight
- Load and unload tanker freight safely and efficiently
- Maintain DOT hazmat and tanker compliance standards
- Complete pre-trip and post-trip inspections
- Communicate professionally with dispatch and operations teams
- Safely manage regional delivery schedules and routes
- Follow all safety procedures when handling liquid chemical freight
Requirements
- Valid CDL-A license required
- Tanker endorsement required
- Hazmat endorsement required
- TWIC card required
- Valid passport preferred for Canadian deliveries
- Minimum 6 months previous liquid tanker experience preferred
- OR 24 months recent verifiable tractor-trailer experience required
- Strong safety awareness and communication skills
- Must live within 60 miles of Houston TX
- No pets or passengers permitted
Compensation & Benefits
- Average weekly pay: $1200-$1800 gross
- Average weekly miles: 2200-2500
- CPM pay based on verified tractor-trailer experience
- Additional pay for loading and unloading events
- Hazmat-certified premium pay available
- Utilization incentive available after 1600 miles weekly
- Orientation pay provided
- Detention pay available
- Referral bonus: $1500 total payout
- $750 at hire
- $750 after 90 days
- Paid vacation program

- Annual boot allowance
Schedule & Home Time
- Regional operation
- Typical schedule varies
- Drivers generally out 7-10 days at a time
- Certain dispatches especially Canadian routes may extend trips up to 14 days
- Additional opportunities available for drivers wanting extended time out

- 2019 and newer Mack Volvo and International trucks
- Automatic and manual transmission trucks available
- Governed at 65 mph pedal / 68 mph cruise
- Home or approved secure parking permitted
