Responsibilities Travel nationwide for 13‑week assignments; flexible travel and work in various settings. Assess, develop, and deliver physical therapy programs to facilitate rehabilitation. Identify needs and make referrals to other disciplines to address comprehensive patient needs. Implement individualized therapy programs designed to restore, reinforce, and enhance performance. Instruct, educate, and train patients and caregivers in skills and functions essential for independence and productivity. Supervise Physical Therapy Assistants, temporary licensees, students, and support personnel as required. Ensure effective and efficient delivery of rehab services; adherence to plan of care, department and patient schedule, and timely documentation. Attend and contribute to patient care, staffing conferences and related meetings. Consult with rehabilitation team to select therapeutic regimen consistent with patient needs and capabilities. Adapt program and plan of care according to individual patient needs. Promote a safe environment and enforce elimination of fire and safety hazards. Order supplies and equipment as necessary; maintain and report equipment repair needs. Provide patient‑centered service ensuring highest quality in caring and compassionate atmosphere. Screen, examine, and evaluate patients including history, systems review, and appropriate tests; synthesize information to establish diagnosis and plan of care. Develop treatment goals and methods in collaboration with patient and caregivers; implement treatment plan; complete documentation and record keeping. Perform therapeutic techniques such as: Therapeutic exercise (aerobic capacity, balance, coordination, agility, flexibility, gait, neuromotor development, relaxation, strength, power, endurance). Functional training. Manual therapy. Airway clearance techniques. Integumentary repair and protection. Use of electrotherapeutic modalities, physical agents, and mechanical modalities. Design, fabrication, fitting, and application of adaptive devices (orthotics, prosthetics). Execute other related duties as required. Qualifications Valid Physical Therapy license in the state(s) of practice or proof of license and eligibility. Master's degree in Physical Therapy or a Physical Therapy related field with a Bachelor's in Physical Therapy; or Bachelor's in Physical Therapy with at least 5 years progressive PT experience. Availability to travel to and temporarily reside in locations outside primary home. Foreign‑educated PT degree assessed as U.S. equivalent to a degree in Physical Therapy.
