Description: The position requires prior experience and will involve floating between units based on needs. On-call duty is not required for this role. Weekends are mandatory, with every other weekend expected. Block scheduling is not required. Expected patient ratios are 1:5 and 1:10 on night shifts. A vehicle is needed for this assignment. Travelers may float to various units depending on skill sets. Travelers can float to facilities nearby the contracted facility. Failure to float may lead to termination of the assignment and loss of guaranteed hours. All travelers must commit to working three of the five major holidays, including Thanksgiving and Christmas. Two references are required from recent employment, covering one year of experience. Candidates must have specific charting experience with EPIC. Health and safety procedures are in place, and no vaccinations are required for this position. Staffing comprises interdisciplinary support from various healthcare professionals. The unit caters to pediatric and adolescent patients experiencing acute crises. The age group primarily ranges from 6 to 17 years old. Operational procedures include managing behavioral issues and suicidal ideation in patients. Special equipment is used for secure patient transport and safety protocols are in place. Coursework modules are part of the requirements and are tracked for completion. Time-off requests must be made upfront and are limited to ensure consistency in staffing.
