Loan Processing Specialist

Prairie State Bank & Trust, a locally owned $800 million bank with 20 offices in Central Illinois has an immediate opening for a Commercial and Consumer Loan Processing Specialist, in Mt. Background: The duties performed by the Commercial and Consumer Doc Prep department are critical to ensuring that customer information and loan request are accurately and timely prepared. It is extremely important to remember that we are responsible for the accurate preparation and making sure that our documents are legally enforceable. Each Loan Officer relies on both Commercial and Consumer Doc Prep department to provide outstanding customer service to them, which ultimately enables them to provide excellent customer service to PSB&T’s loan customers. The primary functions of the Consumer and Commercial Doc Pre department include (Not all inclusive): Prepare accurate and timely loan documentation for all consumer, commercial & agricultural loan transactions. Prepare accurate and timely denial Documentation Prepare Internal Consumer and Commercial Mortgage Release Documentation Review all HMDA information for accuracy Communicate productively with the loan officers, borrowers, and other third parties to ensure all required documentation has been received to process, document, and close loan requests. (such as payoffs for liens referenced on title work, work with Title Company to complete purchase HUD’s, proof of insurance, Appraisals & reviews, Operating Agreements, Articles of Organization, Trust Agreements, etc.) Order Appraisals and Reviews as needed. Other duties as assigned PSB&T provides the following types of consumer and commercial loans: Commercial Construction Loan Commercial Line of Credit Agricultural Line of Credit Agricultural Equipment Agricultural Livestock Agricultural Farmer Mac (Farm & Ranch & Never on books) Agricultural Farmer Mac 2 (USDA Guaranteed) Commercial Libor Loans Vehicle Loans Secondary Market Loans Primary Goals, Responsibilities & Expectations for Your Position: As we look to aggressively grow our loan portfolio it will take a huge team effort. Commercial and Consumer Doc Prep provides critical support to our lending staff by not only processing loan documentation but also by providing excellent customer service to our internal employees. In this position you will be expected to accurately perform duties that are essential in accurate documentation, prioritize your workflow, maintain confidentiality of customer and potential customer financial information and to ensure all time sensitive task are performed accordingly and work with the loan team to find efficiencies that will make our loan work as smooth as possible. Understanding different aspects of the bank helps you to know how your role in the organization plays an important part in the overall growth and stability of the bank.
