Location: Commerce, CA
Openings: 3
Pay Rate: $24–$25 per hour
Project Duration: 4 weeks, with potential for temp-to-hire
Schedule: Monday–Friday | No Weekends
Hours: 8-hour shifts | 40 hours per week
Start Times: 6:00 AM, 7:30 AM, or 9:00 AM

Job Overview

We are currently hiring 3 NON-CDL Delivery Drivers for a 4-week delivery project based in Commerce, CA. Drivers will deliver food products from Commerce to schools and senior centers throughout San Diego .

This position offers the opportunity to become temp-to-hire based on performance, attendance, reliability, and workplace behavior .

Drivers will follow consistent routes and typically visit the same customers each day , making this an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys building relationships and providing dependable customer service.

Responsibilities

• Drive a company delivery vehicle from Commerce to San Diego.
• Complete approximately 5–8 deliveries per day .
• Deliver food products to schools and senior centers.
• Load and unload products using dollies and Cambro® food carriers.
• Handle both hot and cold food containers.
• Perform touch-freight duties, including loading and unloading.
• Provide friendly and professional customer service at each delivery location.
• Communicate effectively and professionally with customers during daily deliveries.
• Follow assigned delivery routes and schedules.
• Complete daily vehicle inspection checks.
• Use vehicle tracking technology as required.
• Follow all company safety procedures and policies.

Schedule

• Monday–Friday
• No weekends
• 8-hour shifts
• 40 hours per week
• Overtime paid after 8 hours worked in a day
• Consistent routes and customers
• Report to the same Commerce location each day
• Start times: 6:00 AM, 7:30 AM, or 9:00 AM

Qualifications

• At least 1 year of delivery driving or customer service experience preferred.
• NON-CDL driving experience.
• Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record.
• Strong customer service and communication skills.
• Must be personable and comfortable interacting with customers daily.
• Some English-speaking ability is required.
• Spanish-speaking candidates are welcome to apply.
• Must be dependable, punctual, and professional.
• Ability to perform physical loading and unloading duties.
• Reefer/refrigerated vehicle experience is preferred but not required. Training may be provided.

Physical Requirements

This is a touch-freight position and requires the ability to:

• Load and unload food products.
• Push and pull delivery dollies.
• Handle Cambro® food carriers.
• Safely transport hot and cold food containers.
• Perform physical delivery tasks throughout the workday.

Pre-Employment Requirements

Candidates must successfully complete:

• Background check
• DOJ check
• Tuberculosis (TB) testing

Required Work Gear

Before starting, employees must have:

• Composite-toe, slip-resistant work boots
• Safety vest
