Responsibilities

• Draw blood samples from patients of all ages, including pediatric and geriatric populations, following established procedures and safety protocols.
• Prepare and process specimens for laboratory testing with accuracy and attention to detail.
• Perform clerical tasks such as maintaining accurate records and documentation related to specimen collection and processing.
• Ensure a safe, clean, and professional environment at all times, promoting a positive experience for patients and staff.
• Coordinate front-desk or lobby duties as needed, assisting with patient check-in and overall flow of the clinical environment.
• Communicate effectively with patients, explaining procedures to build trust and confidence during interactions.

Required Skills

• Proven phlebotomy skills, including experience in pediatric and geriatric blood collection.
• Strong customer service ability to create a comfortable experience for patients.
• Excellent data entry and keyboarding skills to maintain accurate records.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision in a clinical setting.
• Attention to detail with a focus on process excellence and confidentiality.

Additional Skills & Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent required; medical assistant or paramedic training preferred.
• Phlebotomy certification preferred (required in California, Nevada, and Washington).
• Minimum of 6 months of direct phlebotomy experience is required; one year or more is preferred.
• Flexible availability to work weekends, holidays, and overtimes as needed.
• Must have reliable transportation to and from the worksite; commuting time should ideally be within 20-25 minutes.
• Must be punctual, dependable, and able to stay for entire scheduled shifts; excessive absenteeism or tardiness will impact employment.
