Pay: $15.00–$17.00 per hour

Are you compassionate, dependable, and passionate about helping others? Visiting Angels is seeking caring and dedicated Caregivers to provide exceptional in-home care to seniors and adults who wish to remain safely and comfortably in their own homes.

As a caregiver, you'll make a meaningful difference every day by providing companionship, personal care, and support that enhances our clients' quality of life.

Responsibilities:

 

• Assist clients with personal care, including bathing, grooming, dressing, and hygiene 
• Help clients with medication reminders as directed 
• Assist with mobility, transfers, and ambulation 
• Accompany clients to medical appointments, errands, and walks 
• Prepare nutritious meals and assist with feeding when needed 
• Perform light housekeeping, laundry, and household organization 
• Grocery shop or accompany clients while shopping 
• Provide companionship and emotional support 
• Assist with approved physical therapy or exercise routines 
• Observe and report changes in a client's condition or any unusual incidents 
• Respond appropriately in emergency situations 

Desired Experience:

 

• At least 1 year of professional caregiving experience preferred
• Experience caring for seniors or adults with dementia, Alzheimer's disease, Parkinson's disease, stroke recovery, or mobility limitations 
• Experience providing personal care, including bathing, dressing, toileting, and transfers 
• Experience using gait belts, Hoyer lifts, sit-to-stand lifts, or other mobility equipment is a plus 
• Previous experience in home care, assisted living, nursing homes, rehabilitation facilities, or hospitals preferred 
• Experience working overnight, weekend, or live-in shifts is a plus 
• Valid driver's license, reliable transportation, and current auto insurance preferred for clients requiring transportation 

Qualifications:

 

• Previous caregiving experience preferred 
• CPR and First Aid certification preferred 
• Knowledge of personal care, nutrition, and home safety 
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills 
• Compassionate, dependable, and patient 
• Strong time management and organizational skills 
• Professional appearance and ethical work standards 
• Ability to perform the physical demands of caregiving 
• High school diploma or GED preferred
