Make a difference in the lives of students by supporting communication and language development across elementary and middle school settings. This contract role is perfect for passionate Speech Language Pathologists who are ready to step into a dynamic school-based environment near Mechanicsville, MD. You’ll enjoy a steady, full-time schedule working across one elementary and one middle school, collaborating with educators and families to create meaningful progress for your students.
Qualifications:
- Hold a state of Maryland license as a Speech Language Pathologist (CCC-SLP or CF accepted)
- Open to both experienced clinicians and new graduates; supervision for Clinical Fellows is available
- Strong understanding of speech, language, and communication disorders in school-aged children
- Effective communication, organization, and collaboration skills
Responsibilities:
- Deliver assessment, intervention, and therapy services to students with a range of speech and language needs
- Develop and implement individualized education program (IEP) goals under state and district guidelines
- Maintain accurate documentation, track student progress, and complete necessary reports
- Work closely with teachers, parents, and multidisciplinary teams to maximize student outcomes
- Provide guidance, resources, and training to staff and families as needed
- Promote a positive, inclusive, and engaging learning environment for all students
