Chemical Engineer Fall Intern

Role Overview Chemours is seeking a Chemical Engineering Intern to join the Ore Technology team. The intern will work closely with the Titanium Technologies team on process technology development projects in a chemical plant. The position reports to the Ore Technology Lab Supervisor. Location: Newark, DE. Hours: Regular full‑time schedule of 40 hours per week. Term: 5‑month assignment between August – December 2025. Responsibilities Work with experienced R&D professionals on process technology development projects. Participate in process safety management activities and reviews. Conduct lab work, including design, construction, operation, and optimization of laboratory‑scale unit operations (reactors, filters, ovens, mixers, pumps, etc.). Support multiple projects with data analysis, record‑keeping, and sharing with team members. Contribute to team meetings and conference calls. Adhere to safe handling of chemicals and safe operation of chemical processes. Required Qualifications Enrollment at an accredited college or university as a Junior or above at the time of assignment. Pursuing an undergraduate degree in Chemical Engineering or a related field. Familiarity with Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. Ability to perform all duties listed with or without accommodation. Preferred Qualifications 3.0 GPA or above. Prior experience (industrial or academic) with reaction engineering, thermodynamics, titration, filtration, and distillation. Experience working with chemicals.
