As a Consulting Partner, you will truly be a start‑up CEO, with autonomy to define your own path. Job Purpose Point of accountability to represent Client for a specific vertical/geography. Position Overview Experienced business consulting leader responsible for customer success, engaged consultants and growth of consulting business primarily focused on specific vertical/geography (potential to add other related firms). Accountable for both direct consulting and influenced revenue and profitability targets. Delivered advisory/strategy/roadmap engagement sponsored by client (and not as presales); give examples with description of client problem and approach. Experience of selling consulting engagements; give examples. Experience in building up a consulting team. Examples of building frameworks or IP for the business. Developed a digital transformation roadmap (as part of a client organization or client). Delivered strategy or roadmap engagements (deliverables are typically a PPT). Involved in selling and building teams focused on consulting (consulting defined narrowly, not system implementation). Advanced postgraduate education, typically an MBA from a good school. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Establish credentials as a trusted advisor with customer stakeholders at clients. Ideate with customers to create proactive and innovative proposals around business problems. Set up vision and strategic goals for the consulting business for the industry vertical in alignment with client larger goals in the vertical/geography. Work with internal stakeholders (regional and vertical sales teams, other service lines) to develop and execute an annual business plan. Engage with sales, delivery and account teams to support revenue growth in targeted existing and new accounts through proactive proposals and RFP responses. Drive consulting marketing agenda focused on target accounts. Evaluate market needs, competition landscape, to identify & propose new consulting capabilities and services for the specific needs of the industry vertical / region. Provide governance oversight and lead consulting engagements in the assigned industry vertical / region. Hire / motivate / mentor consulting team to meet business goals. Personally contribute to establish thought leadership for consulting practice in the region and globally. Key KRAs Order Book (TCV / ACV) and Realized Revenue – Direct / Influenced for Client. Influenced Sales for Client. Analysts / Industry Recognition. Education and/or Work Experience Experience as Sr. Manager/Director in a Consulting firm of repute (ideally MBB). Consulting or Operational experience in global companies in one or more of these functions – engineering / R&D, production, supply chain / procurement, sales & marketing, aftermarket, services. Experience in leading or participating in business and technology transformation programs in companies for functions listed above. Track record of delighting clients through outstanding consulting work. Experience of working at the front end of technology solutioning building use cases and business case. Experience in building up a consulting team (hiring / mentoring etc.). Advanced degree (Post graduation) in Management or Manufacturing related topics.
