Assistant Project Manager

IES Commercial, Inc. – DBA IES Electrical, seeking Assistant Project Manager, location: Nebraska, South Dakota, Iowa. Job Summary Assist Project Manager with the following: Oversee Substations, Transmission, and/or Distribution projects to meet contractual adherence. Develop and manage the project budget, financial tracking, and owner billings. Develop and maintain the master project schedule. Coordinate construction efforts with Management and site supervision. Subcontract administration to ensure subcontractors meet scope, schedule, and budget. Manage material procurement to support the project schedule and budget. Provide technical assistance, i.e., interpretation of drawings, recommending construction methods and equipment, etc., as required. Change Management Quality and productivity of crews and ensure efficient use of materials and equipment. Interface with clients, AE representatives, and others on the project site. Maintain client relationships to foster long term client satisfaction with IESCI. Provide feedback to estimating. Assist with adherence to the IESCI safety program Ability to work with multiple project managers. Qualifications Travel may be required. College degree in Construction Management or Engineering OR minimum 2 years experience in Construction Project Management position Knowledge of substations, transmission line work, or distribution work preferred. Knowledge of utility line and substation safety. Proficient computer skills, experience utilizing MS Office (Excel/Word/Power Point/Microsoft Project). Valid motor vehicle operator’s license Successfully pass pre-employment (post offer) drug test, background check and MVR check.
