Position Overview
Better Living Psychotherapy Center is actively seeking a dedicated Licensed Mental Health Counselor to join our dynamic team full-time in a remote capacity. This role is designed for an experienced professional who is passionate about supporting individuals in their journey towards mental wellness. As a Licensed Mental Health Counselor, you will conduct assessments, create personalized treatment plans, and implement therapeutic interventions tailored to the unique needs of each client.

Key Responsibilities
- Conduct initial assessments and ongoing evaluations of clients’ mental health status to inform treatment decisions.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans that utilize evidence-based therapeutic approaches.
- Facilitate regular therapy sessions (individual and group) that empower clients to overcome challenges and encourage personal development.
- Maintain accurate and comprehensive electronic health records (EHR) to document client progress, treatment plans, and interventions.
- Provide referrals to other healthcare providers as necessary, including psychiatrists for medication management.
- Participate in clinical team meetings to share insights and collaborate on treatment approaches for complex cases.
Patient Population / Client Focus
The population we serve includes individuals experiencing a range of mental health issues, such as depression, anxiety, substance use disorders, and eating disorders. Our counselors are sensitive to the diverse backgrounds of our clients and are skilled at employing culturally responsive strategies that foster engagement and support throughout the therapeutic process.
Qualifications
- Master's or doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.
- Current and valid licensure as an LMFT, LPC, or LCSW in the state of Georgia.
- A minimum of four years of relevant clinical experience in mental health counseling.
- Strong understanding of various mental health disorders, evidence-based treatment methods, and a commitment to ethical therapeutic practices.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to build rapport with a wide variety of clients, including individuals from different cultural backgrounds.
- Proficiency in utilizing electronic health record systems to ensure seamless documentation and communication.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team and maintain professional boundaries with clients.
Preferred Experience
- Experience in delivering therapy using trauma-informed and culturally sensitive approaches.
- Demonstrated expertise in crisis intervention techniques and the capacity to handle difficult situations calmly and effectively.
- Engagement in ongoing professional development, with interest in participating in workshops or supervision to enhance clinical skills.
Compensation and Benefits
Competitive annual salary ranging from USD 70,000 to $100,000 based on experience and qualifications.
