This pharmacist role offers the opportunity to support skilled nursing facilities, personal care facilities, and hospice through careful medication management and clinical support. The assignment will last one month with a possibility of extension, and an 8-week contract will also be considered.

Schedule/Hours:

• 40 hours per week
• Pharmacy hours are Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM – 6:00 PM
• Saturday, 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM
• Sunday, 8:00 AM – 3:00 PM

Location:

• Cranberry Township, PA

Key Responsibilities:

• Review medication orders entered by data entry technicians for accuracy and completeness
• Check blister-packed medications as well as sterile and non-sterile preparations
• Respond to phone inquiries from nursing facilities, hospice nurses, and physicians, providing clinical guidance as needed
• Count controlled substances and document results accurately in the perpetual inventory system
• Verify emergency medication boxes to ensure readiness and compliance

Qualifications & Desired Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree in Pharmacy
• Active pharmacist license in good standing from the state of Pennsylvania
• Minimum of 1 year pharmacist experience; long-term care (LTC) experience preferred
• Proficient with pharmacy operating systems such as QS1, Docutrack, and PCC
• Physical ability to sit and stand for extended periods, demonstrate fine motor skills, maintain visual acuity, and lift up to 30 pounds
