Travel RN - ICU

American Traveler is hiring an experienced ICU RN with acute critical care background to provide bedside care in a fast-paced intensive care unit.

Job Details

• Hospital-based 32-bed ICU (3 East/3 Central) using a primary care nurse model with resource nurse support,
• Patient population includes neuro/neurosurgical, renal (CRRT), cardiac (including balloon pumps), and respiratory/ventilator patients,
• 2:1 patient ratio,
• Requires ability to read tele strips and titrate medications including pressors and vasoactive drips,
• Uses Zoll and Nihon Kohden bedside monitors and CRRT Prismax equipment,
• Epic EMR charting,
• Night shift, 645p-715a, every other weekend,
• 36 hours/week, 12-hour shifts, 3 days/week,

Job Requirements

• Active KY or Compact RN license required,
• Current BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications,
• Minimum 2 years of acute ICU RN experience required,
• Epic EMR experience required,
• Nursing Diploma or Associate's Degree (ASN) required,

Additional Information

• Responsible for full nursing process including assessment, care planning, implementation, and evaluation for assigned patients,
• Provides patient and family education and supports discharge planning,
• Mentors and precepts staff while delegating tasks to licensed and non-licensed personnel,
• Participates in quality, safety, and service improvement initiatives under a Practice Governance model,
• Galaxy blue scrub color required, not provided by facility,
