The City of Pearsall is currently accepting Applications for the following position:  Job title: Street Maintenance WorkerOpening Date: 08/21/2026Closing Date: 08/28/2026Salary: 14.85 per hr. Entry level Hours: Monday - Friday 8am - 5pm (Subject to Dept. Work tasks include street sweeping, cleaning, and repairing catch basins, installing street signs, traffic control, tree trimming, and ditch maintenance. Equipment necessary to be operated to include said duties, including but not limited to, pickup trucks, small and large dump trucks, various street equipment, chain saws, brush chippers, and street sweeper.Minimum Requirements:1 year progressively responsible experience in streets maintenance, and storm drainage cleaning, and the ability to perform labor-intensive work within difficult environmental conditions to include frequent lifting, pulling, and pushing of 50 lbs., or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience. Ability to pass a pre-employment Drug Screening and Physical. Must possess a valid Texas Class C Driver's License.
