Business Development Representative

Job Description The Business Development Representative is responsible for continuing Connected Office Technologies' growth and managing the company's customer base. This includes prospecting and identifying clients, email outreach and cold calling to potential clients, identifying potential leads to sales leadership, and managing customer accounts. The Business Development Representative will drive and take ownership of the first steps of the sales process. The ideal candidate for this position will have excellent communication skills, be well-organized and detail-oriented, have an interest in a long-term sales career, be a team player, and have a passion for providing office technology solutions to businesses and organizations in Maine and New Hampshire. Responsibilities Collaborate with sales leadership for focused prospecting Research and identify potential clients, industries, and market opportunities in Maine and New Hampshire territories to tailor our sales approaches and support COT's business growth Make cold calls to prospects and manage outreach process to potential clients Generate new leads through cold calls, marketing emails, networking, events, and social outreach Stay knowledgeable about COT's product and service offerings, as well as competitors and market developments to provide valuable insights and recommendations Schedule and conduct introductory meetings with key decision-makers to understand their needs and present our solutions, coordinate follow-up meetings with Sales Managers Analyze prospect interactions with marketing emails and provide reports to Sales leadership Build meaningful relationships with customers to strengthen COT's mission as a partner Qualifications Excellent written and verbal communication skills Strong attention to detail Extensive customer service experience Professional phone demeanor Experience with Microsoft Office Suite Great teamwork and collaboration skills Interest in sales field, business leadership, and office equipment industry Documented resident of the United States and does not require sponsorship Preferred Qualifications 1-3 years of sales or business development experience Cold calling skills HubSpot experience Understanding of B2B sales process and ability to adapt to various industries Benefits Employee-owned company Health insurance Dental insurance Vision insurance #J-18808-Ljbffr
