What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to all visitors, drivers, vendors, and/or employees while carrying out access control procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a logistics and distribution location.
• Monitor entry and exit points, verify identification and/or credentials, maintain visitor and vehicle logs, and help to deter unauthorized access to the location.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting security-related concerns and communicating observations to site contacts and/or Allied Universal leadership.
• Conduct regular and random patrols around the facility, dock areas, trailer yards, parking areas, and perimeter, noting unusual activity and reporting maintenance, access, and/or security-related issues.
• Assist with screening incoming and outgoing traffic, support key control and access badge processes, and help to maintain orderly movement of people, packages, and/or vehicles throughout the location.

Minimum Requirements:

• Possess at least 1 year of security-related experience.
• Be at least 21 years of age.
• At this site there are limited on-site facilities such as portable toilets and rustic guard shacks.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
