Project Estimator

ABOUT THE POSITIONMammoth Sports Construction is seeking a Estimator with a minimum of 2 years of commercial construction experience. The role is responsible is responsible for deciding the projected time frame needed to complete a project and additional factors like labor needs, materials, budgets and potential setbacks. The duties include communicating with personnel and contractual professionals or vendors, using computer software to weigh production risks or compile reports and making presentations to project leaders outlining their suggestions for upcoming projects.JOB LOCATION: Meriden, Kansas, Kansas City, MissouriSALARY: TBD, Based on Qualifications +BenefitsESSTENTIAL JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:Prepare a detailed estimate by completing quantity take-offs, analysis, estimate input and studies for all items incorporated in the assigned scopeAnalyzing requirement documents, blueprints and project plans to gain a thorough understanding of the projectDetermining what factors of production will influence the cost of a service or productPreparing material estimates and cost estimates for the product or serviceCreating labor estimates for any projectDeveloping and maintaining relationships with company vendors and contractorsManaging bids from vendors and contractorsUsing bid data to prepare detailed a cost analysisPresenting prepared estimates to management and other stakeholdersCompiling and recording actual costsServe as a liaison with subcontractors, design team (architects, engineers, consultants) and client. Point of contact for managing assigned trade subcontractors and distributing informationSupport constructability reviews through communication with the project team, designers, and subcontractor market.Develop a value analysis study by defining alternatives to the proposed scope that are more cost-efficientResponsible for understanding all factors required for a comprehensive trade package scope, including contract documents, site logistics, schedule, coordination, means and methodsCoordinate with operations staff and fellow estimators to ensure that General Conditions and General Requirement items are properly addressed in the estimate.Prepare comparison analysis to previous estimate for assigned scopeObtain and evaluate subcontractor proposals relative to their scope of work. Document information into Bid Recording Sheet, organize and participate in Post Bid ReviewManage action items from Post Bid and finalize subcontract scope. Make recommendations to the project lead for awardREQUIRED SKILLS/ABILITIES:Strong work ethic and ability to work in a fast-paced environmentExperience partnering on large-scale projects successfully from start to finishOutstanding communication skills verbal and writtenAbility to establish collaborative relationships with internal and external stakeholdersExcellent technical skills.
