This is a non-exempt position and pay is subject to overtime based on hours worked.About the RoleWe are looking for an Engineering Technician to support the development, testing, and validation of innovative products that help solve corrosion challenges across a variety of industries. This role plays a critical part in turning engineering concepts into working prototypes, test systems, and production ready solutions.This position is a strong fit for someone who enjoys hands on technical work, troubleshooting complex problems, and working closely with engineers throughout the product development process. You will help build prototypes, conduct testing, analyze results, and support continuous improvement efforts that contribute directly to product quality and innovation.What You'll DoProduct Development and TestingBuild, assemble, modify, and maintain prototypes, test fixtures, and experimental equipmentSupport product validation, reliability, environmental, and performance testing activitiesSet up instrumentation, sensors, data acquisition systems, and measurement equipmentConduct tests according to engineering procedures and accurately document resultsCollect, organize, and analyze test data while identifying observations and potential issuesAssist engineers in evaluating product performance and validating design improvementsTroubleshooting and Technical SupportTroubleshoot prototype, equipment, and test setup issuesRecommend practical solutions to improve testing efficiency and product performanceSupport engineering change activities throughout the product development lifecycleFabricate and assemble mechanical and electromechanical components using hand and power toolsAssist with prototype builds and development projects across multiple disciplinesLaboratory Operations and DocumentationMaintain engineering laboratory equipment, tools, and workspacesEnsure safe and efficient operation of laboratory and testing environmentsCreate and maintain test reports, records, photographs, and technical documentationManage and organize engineering test requests and prioritiesTrack and report key performance metrics related to testing activitiesProvide training on laboratory equipment and procedures when neededCross Functional CollaborationPartner with Product Development, Manufacturing, and Quality teamsSupport timely completion of development projects and testing activitiesCommunicate testing progress, findings, and recommendations to stakeholdersContribute to continuous improvement initiatives that improve product quality and reliabilityTravelOccasional travel may be requiredWhat We're Looking ForRequired QualificationsAssociate degree or technical certification in Engineering Technology, Mechanical Technology, Electronics Technology, Mechatronics, or a related field preferred, or equivalent industry experience5 or more years of experience in an engineering laboratory, product development, manufacturing, or testing environment preferredExperience building prototypes, test fixtures, or mechanical assembliesAbility to read and interpret engineering drawings, schematics, and assembly instructionsExperience with test equipment, instrumentation, and data collection systemsProficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including ExcelExperience with PLC programming and data acquisition systemsStrong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilitiesExcellent organizational and documentation skillsPreferredExperience supporting new product development programsFamiliarity with electromechanical systems and manufacturing processesExperience working with measurement tools, instrumentation, and automated test equipmentStrong mechanical aptitude and hands-on technical skillsPhysical RequirementsAbility to lift and carry up to 50 poundsAbility to stand, bend, kneel, and work around laboratory and manufacturing equipment for extended periodsComfortable working around electrical systems and compressed air equipmentAbility to safely operate tools, machinery, and testing equipmentWhy Join UsHelp develop innovative products from concept through productionWork alongside talented engineering, manufacturing, and quality professionalsGain hands on experience with cutting edge testing and product development activitiesContribute directly to product quality, reliability, and customer successJoin a company that values continuous improvement, teamwork, and accountabilityEqual Opportunity EmployerEngineered Corrosion Solutions is an equal opportunity employer.
